Stjepan Perkovic is a painter of strong and fine emotions, of sincere connection with transcedental reality of his own ego. He is an artist of extraordinary warm lines, unpredictible and often stressing solutions which are not present so often in the history of art. An unsuppressed cheerfulness in his paintings shows the caracter of the artist's spirit; spontanity and authentic artistic lines explain the fact that the author doesn't belong to any artistic schools and make clear the originality of his style. We talk about a young author who hasn't completed Academy of Art yet, but completed his life academy in full sense. He is a man and a painter who opens horizons to others, if they know how to watch. I admire this painter because his work isn't apriori an aspiration to succeed because of money or to be popular in this material society; his work is the life itself, existence and love given to us without any egoism.   Anto Mamuša, akademski slikar «art is here to look at, not to talk about it» J. W. Goethe It's very important for every artist to have his own style, but it's not easy to gain this level of art; very few of them can do that. To enjoy plastic art means to enjoy the plastic speech of the artist himself who speaks in such a way which was not spoken before. The art would not exist, if there were not artists. In the works of Stjepan Perkoviĉ, we often recognize the parts of body; it is the motive, document about understanding the sense of life, reflexion of the artist's psychic and physical relation towards the human body.
